He was a retired farmer and was a Protestant.
He is survived by his wife Mrs Pearl Burris Owens; sons, L G Owens and James Owens of Scottsville, Arkansas;daughter, Mrs Joella Powers of Dover, Arkansas; a half brother, Earl Stokes of Russellville, Arkansas; 14 grand -children and 7 great grand-children. He was the best Grandpa ever and loved by all. Pa Owens had a wonderful sense of humor and a great practical joker. He was a good Christian man and a good example for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was loved very much and still missed so very much. I know that he has a special place in Heaven.

She was loved by anyone that knew her. And missed by all. There will never be anyone like her again. You are missed but will always live in our hearts and memories. She was the daughter of Walter and Julie Cooper Burris, and a member of the Round Rock Church of God. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Chesley Owens and Claud Chronister.
Survivors include two sons, L G Owens and James Owens and daughter, Jo Ella Powers. A very precious Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. You could not have asked God for any better of a person. I never heard my Granny say anything ugly nor mean about anyone. I miss her so very much and I know that God has a special place for her. She is once again reunited with Pa Owens.
