When Agnes "Aggie" Balfour King Anderson was born on June 1, 1855, in Marshall, Mississippi, her father, Andrew, was 31, and her mother, Sallie, was 30. She married Dennis King in 1878 in her hometown. They had five children in 14 years. She died on April 27, 1925, at the age of 69, and was buried in Hattieville, Arkansas.
