March 8, 1859 - February 20, 1923
Bearden, Feb. 22 - W. E. Sanders, aged 64, died at his home here Tuesday night after a long illness. Mr. Sanders was one of the oldest and most widely known residents of Bearden, coming here 23 years ago. He had been engaged in the general merchandise business most of that time. He is survived by his wife and five children, a daughter, Mrs. Lockett Hubbard, and four sons, Jimerson, Edmund, Luther and Herman. The funeral services were to be held at Moss cemetery at 2 p.m. (Arkansas Democrat - February 22, 1923)
