Hazel Irene Welch, 88, of Ash Flat died Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at Baxter County Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Ash Flat Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons; Wayburn of Ash Flat and Dale and his wife Pat of Sparta, MO; and one daughter Betty and her husband Daniel of Melbourne, AR; one brother Lehman Evans of Ash Flat; six grandchildren, Veronda Welch, Cary and (Kim)Welch, Scott and (Jo)Garwood, Evan and (Vickie) Welch, Tim and (Sherry) Garwood and Bard and (Robyn) Welch; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Scott Godwin Welch; her parents, William Oscar and Vira Garner Evans; and two brothers; George Evans, W.O. Evans; and two sisters; Audra Evans Goodwin and Wanda Evans Wells-McDonald.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Ash Flat Church of Christ, with Jack Richardson officiating.
Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery in Izard County.
Pallbearers will be Cary Welch, Brad Welch, Scott Garwood, Tim Garwood, Evan Welch, and Fred Goodwin.
Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ or Children's Home of Paragould.
