November 26, 1894 - February 28, 1968
Mrs. Rosa Mae Pickens Elliott, 73, of 601 Rock Island Right-of-way, died Wednesday morning after a brief illness. Born Nov. 26, 1894, in Spearsville, La., she was the daughter of William S. and Nancy Susan McDonald Pickens. A longtime resident of Union County, she was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, T. K. Elliott; a son, John Tom Elliott, El Dorado; a daughter, Miss Mattye Sioux Elliott, El Dorado; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Byram, Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Sallie Elkins, Shreveport, La.; six grandchildren and one great grandson. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Southside Baptist Church with Dr. J. Paul Plamer and Rev. Tom E. Bray officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery by Young's. Pallbearers are Billy Joe Booth, Don Pickens, James Pickens, Morris Elkins, Clovis Elkinson, W. P. Elliott, Johnny Howell, all nephews; and Earl Swresbury. R. W. Crowder is an honorary pallbearer.
