Edith, the beloved wife of Claud Rowland, died at their home in El Dorado Thursday night, March 15, from an operation performed ten days before that date. She was apparently getting along nicely, but a relapse took her spirit to the God who gave it. The deceased was a resident of Huttig for a number of years up until about seven years ago when they moved to El Dorado, and has a host of warm friends here who will be grieved to hear of her untimely demise. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was one of the organizers of the chapter at this place. The order had charge of the funeral services which were held Friday afternoon from the late residence and largely attended despite the inclement weather. The deceased was possessed of one of those amicable dispositions which caused her to be loved by all who knew her and the loving husband and daughter, Claudine, have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their great loss.
