*Obituary
Ex-sheriff Henry Norris died at his home in El Dorado on Christmas Day after a short illness, aged 66 years. He was one of the best known citizens of Union county and a native of Harrison township. He served in the Confederate army during the civil war and was sheriff of this county three different times and made an excellent official. He was a member of the Methodist church and the Masonic fraternity, which order had charge of the services at the grave at his funeral. He is survived by a loving wife, four daughters and three sons.
