Mrs. Mary Lily Norris, 84, of Hudson Memorial Nursing Home died early Sunday morning at the nursing home. Mrs. Norris was the widow of T. H. Norris, Sr. Born May 20, 1883 in Edes, Tenn., she was the daughter of Odelon Gideon and J. R. Horton. She was a housewife and a mother and had been a resident of Union County since 1904. She was a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Survivors include four sons, F. M. Methvin of El Dorado, M. C. Methvin of Hot Springs, T. H. Norris, Jr., of El Dorado and Henry Clay Norris of Monroe, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Berry Otterson of Billings, Mont., and Mrs. Polly Ann Galloway of Dallas; a brother, J. W. Horton of Ruston, La.; 20 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas P. Reynolds officiating. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Young's. Pallbearers were Jerome Norris, Elmore Norris, Dr. J. P. Ellis, H. N. McClatchey, Ervin Miles, Willard Hill, Doug Futrell, and E. W. Sewell. The family will be at the T. H. Norris Jr., residence, 706 E. Seventh St. (El Dorado Times - January 22, 1968)
