Sybil Josephine Johnson, 81, of Camden, died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. Miss. Johnson was born February 20, 1931 in Calhoun County, Arkansas, the daughter of Hugh S. and Ollie Lindsey Johnson. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Camden, and was retired as an office manager for the Baptist Sunday School Board.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter F. Johnson, and a sister, Elzada Neeley.
Survivors include her nieces, Nina Horne of Leigh High Acres, FL, DeVita Cooper of Ft. Myers, FL, and Ollie Dunn of El Dorado, AR; nephews, William Neeley of Camden and Roy Johnson of Lawton, OK; three grandnephews; three grandnieces; three great grandnephews; and one great grandniece.
Memorial services for Miss Johnson will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 26, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church in Camden with Rev. Don Phillips officiating. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church or to the charity of your choice.
The family wishes to thank all of Miss Johnson’s caregivers for the wonderful care that she received from them.
