Bruce E. Vinson, 75, of the Marysville Community died Sunday in a local hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Vinson was born in Columbia County, March 11, 1894, the son of Elsie and Jeanetta Vinson. He was a retired farmer and timber man, and was a member of the Marysville United Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Cora Braswell Vinson, Magnolia; four sons, Roy Vinson, Felton Vinson and Dorin Vinson, all of Magnolia, and Maurice Vinson, Mt. Holly, and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Marysville United Methodist Church with the Rev. William Barron and the Rev. Myron Pearce officiating. Burial will follow in the Marysville Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Harold Braswell, O. E. Bishop, Darce Bishop, Doug Couch, William Hanna and Guy Vinson. The body will be taken to the Vinson residence Monday morning. (El Dorado Times - December 15, 1969)
