Pearl Marler, 88
Pearl Jean Marler, age 88 of Mountain Home, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at Hospice of the Ozarks. Pearl was born April 6, 1928 in Oklahoma to David and Ophie Robertson. She married Isaac J. Marler in Marshall, Arkansas on January 10, 1948. A devoted wife, a caring sister, a loving mother and a proud Granny, Pearl believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and served many years as church clerk and as a Sunday School teacher at Westside Missionary Baptist Church. Her family was her pride and joy. Pearl also enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, playing cards, and talking on the phone with her sisters.
She is survived by her husband Isaac J. of the home; a daughter, Linda (Dale) Plumlee of Mountain Home; grandsons Jim (Audrey) Plumlee, Bobby Plumlee, Greg (Stephanie) Marler and Brad (Sarah) Marler of Mountain Home; great-grandchildren Todd Plumlee, Jarrett Plumlee, Cameron Plumlee, Kaylee Middleton, Kaden Middleton, Isaac C. Marler, Hannah Marler, and Hadley Marler of Mountain Home; and sisters Alma Myrick of Chimes, Arkansas and Bertha Mae Warren of Hector, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; four brothers; six sisters; a son, Jimmie Wayne Marler; and a daughter, Glenda Lou Marler.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Herschel Conley officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery at Monkey Run. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from noon to 9:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or Gideons International. Arrangements are under direction of Roller Funeral Home.
