Died February 15, 1944, Gassville, Baxter County, Arkansas.
Son of Dr. John Earl and Martha Ann Mahulda "Hulda" White Marler.
Excerpt From The Baxter Bulletin, Mountain Home, Arkansas, February 25, 1944:
Died: Steven Walter Marler, 67, died February 15 at Gassville. Survivors are one sister Mrs. W. J. Henry of Wetumpka, Oklahoma and seven brothers, J. H., J. E., and B. F. Marler of Gassville, B. M. Marler of Cotter, D. N. Marler of Marionville, Missouri, G. W. Marler of Wetumpka, Oklahoma and C. G. Marler of Calvin, Oklahoma. Funeral services were at Pilgrims Rest Church. The Adams Funeral Home of Cotter was in charge. He was a Missionary Baptist.
