Earl Russell "Dickie" Marvel, 89, of Hartman died Monday, March 31, 2014, in Fort Smith.
He was born Dec. 25, 1924, in Hartman.
He was a retired coal miner, farmer and heavy equipment operator, an Army veteran of World War II and a Christian.
He was the widower of Cora Marvel.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Hess Cemetery in Coal Hill under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda Mathis and Deborah Marvel, both of Hartman; two sons, Ronald Marvel of Bryant and Larry Marvel of Hartman; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
