Final rites for James A. Perry, 65, of Louann were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Liberty Baptist Church near Louann. Mr. Perry died in a Smackover hospital Tuesday. He formerly operated a filling station. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Pinkie M. Perry; two daughters, Mrs. Mable Mendenhall of Smackover and Mrs. Shirley Ann Mann of El Dorado; two brothers, Clarence Perry of Clute, Tex., and Franklin Perry of McNeill, and nine grandchildren. The Rev. James D. Biram and the Rev. Harold K. Davis officiated at the services. Burial was in the Liberty Cemetery under direction of Forbis Funeral Home of Camden. Nephews of the deceased served as pallbearers. (The El Dorado Times - May 7, 1964)
