Theodocia "Docia" Ann, believed to be a daughter of John Simpson, was born in Virginia. Docia came with her family to Freeo Twsp., Ouachita Co., Arkansas about 1844. In 1850, this part of Ouachita Co., became part of Calhoun County. Docia had 12 children. She married 1) Pleasant Bennett December 22, 1829, in Jackson County, Alabama. Pleasnt died between July 23, 1862 & December 24, 1862. (She also lost a son-in-law at the same time) in the service of the Confederate Army. Married 2) Ezekiel Perry some years after 1862.
