BENTONVILLE — Barbara Jean Hammack, 68, a lifelong resident of Bentonville, Ark., passed away May 31, 2014, in Tulsa, Okla. She was born April 24, 1946, in Bentonville to Loyd Wilbur Hammack and Carrie Crouse Hammack.

She graduated from Bentonville High School in 1964 and attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. After college, she worked as an administrative assistant in the corporate offices of Walmart for over 40 years.

Barbara was a faithful member of the Wesleyan Church.

Barbara enjoyed sports, especially Arkansas, Tulsa and Arizona football and basketball, travel, reading, praying games, following the stock market and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, J.D. Wade.

Barbara is survived by one brother, Wilbur Hammack of Tulsa, Okla.; seven nieces; three nephews; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 6.
2014, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. David Hadsell officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery.

Donations may be made in honor of Barbara Hammack to the SPCA or Humane Society, as she was very fond of animals, especially cats.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
