August 28, 1879 - August 6, 1972
Mrs. Cora Maude Carter Hughes, 92, lifelong resident of Ouachita County, died Saturday in a local nursing home. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hughes is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Louella Miller, Mrs. Dorothy White, Mrs. Edyth Wells, Mrs. Phonie Williams and Mrs. Della Maude Tomlinson, all of Camden; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Proctor's Chapel, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. (Camden News - August 7, 1972)
