Verna Mae Dobbins, 84, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Stone County Nursing and Rehabilitation. Verna Mae was born on May 3, 1931 in Newnata, Arkansas to the late Ed Hughes and Ruby (Ivy) Long. Verna Mae was a book keeper for many years; she loved her church family and was a member of Flatwoods Missionary Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas for many years.
Verna is survived by one son, Tracy Dobbins and many extended family and friends.
Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Billy E. Dobbins; parents, Ed Hughes and Ruby (Ivy) Long; as well as one brother, Eddie Long.
Graveside services took place on Friday, June 19, at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, with Maxie Haynes officiating.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
