Geneva Evans, 78, of Jonesboro, AR., passed away Friday, July 27, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on November 3, 1933, at Walnut Ridge, AR., to the late Bob and Eva Boothe Neal.
She was a retired school bus driver from the St. Louis School District. Mrs. Evans was a member of the Sedgwick Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Dennis Hamon of St. Louis; a daughter, Jacqueline Evans Cochrane of Tampa, Fla; a granddaughter, Michelle Becker; a grandson, Michael Hamon both of St. Louis; a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Rose Becker; a brother, Bobby Neal of Sedgwick; two sisters, Anna Adams and Catherine Mullins both of Jonesboro; several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of almost 53 years, Ulyss Evans; an infant daughter; a brother, Johnny Neal; a sister, Edna True and an infant sister.
A celebration of her life was held at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak lawn Cemetery in Batesville. Gregg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
