Bertie D. Henson, 97, of Rogers passed away Wednesday, January 21. She was born November 25, 1918 in Jasper, Arkansas to the late James Pelia Keys and Millie M. Self Keys. For nearly 50 years she was the loving wife of the late William E. "Bill" Henson.
A lifelong Baptist, she loved growing flowers in her garden, making quilts through Arkansas Quilts of Valor for use by wounded servicemen and clothing for orphans in Haiti.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Hollenback and 2 sons, Johnny and Jerry Henson. Survivors include her son, Don Henson of Gentry; her brother, Wayne Keys and his wife Jacki of Rogers; her sister, Bobbie Hosier and her husband Joe of Bentonville; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
