When John W Holt was born on July 11, 1860, in North Carolina, his father, Henry, was 25 and his mother, Susan, was 26. He married Mary J on November 26, 1882. They had 15 children in 22 years. He died on December 3, 1940, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 80, and was buried there.
