George Lee Benson Dies Near Elkins

George Lee Benson, 52, of Rt. 1, Elkins, died yesterday afternoon after a short illness.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Julia Benson of Rt. 1, Elkins; sisters, Miss Lynn Benson and Mrs. Lola L. Sawyer, both of the home; Mrs. Elsie Boatright of Elkins; and Mrs. Rebecca Glaze and Mrs. Jessie Harbison, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; three brothers, William of the U. S. Army stationed in England, Woodrow of the U. S. Army stationed in Australia, and Clyde of the home.

Funeral arrangements to be under the direction of Nelson Savage funeral home are incomplete.

Service For George Benson Held Today

Funeral service for George Lee Benson was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at Goshen Methodist church, Rev. Paul Watson of Ft. Smith officiating. Burial, under the direction of Nelson Savage funeral home, was at Goshen cemetery.

Pallbearers were Will Keeney, Harold Stone, Arnold Kimball, Authe Pitts, Norman Hash and Earl Eubanks.

Mr. Benson was born Dec. 31, 1891 near Fayetteville, the son of William H. and Julia Kelley Benson. He spent most of his life at Farmington.
