Mrs. J. H. Mayfield, 78, died Thursday at her home in Goshen, where she had lived for 60 years. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are three sons, Walter, San Fernando, Calif., Charles and Allen, both of Taft, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Jewell Bell, Taft, Mrs. Alma Dyer, Fayetteville; a step-daughter, Mrs. George Spurling, Taft; a sister, Mrs. George Mayfield, Goshen; two brothers, H.E. Sweeney, Goshen, and U.G. Sweeney, Modesto, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 at the Goshen church under the direction of Moore's Funeral Chapel.
