Wanda B Curtis of Calico Rock, Arkansas
Wanda B Cartwright Curtis, daughter of the late Bryan Cartwright and Allie Stevens Cartwright, was born March 8, 1929 in Optimus, Arkansas. She departed this life June23, 2015 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 15 days. She was united in marriage to Odyus Curtis June 5, 1948 in Optimus, Arkansas and to this union seven children were born. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker, caregiver and friend. During her working years, she was employed by White River Healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was of the Christian faith.
Wanda is survived by four sons and four daughters-in-law: Gary and Carol Curtis of Bono, Jerry and Susan Curtis of Optimus, Keith and Melanie Curtis of New Strawn, Kansas, Kevin and Heather Curtis of Mountain Home; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Kay and Jake Tharp of Melbourne, Cheryl and Jim Coffey of Optimus and Cathy Curtis of Optimus; 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Tinnie Cartwright Tinis of Optimus and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers: Duane Cartwright, Carles Kern Cartwright; one sister: Lorne Ward and one great granddaughter: Bailee Ryan Jeffery.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Wade Moser officiating. Burial will be at Table Rock Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, June 26 from 6-8 p.m at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Brady Curtis, Cole Engles, Drew Curtis, Trevor Curtis, Dylan Curtis and Alex Curtis. Honorary Pallbearer: Christy Jeffery.
