CLOVER BEND — Martha Naomi Wells, 70, of Clover Bend passed away Saturday evening at her home.

Born Sept. 6, 1945, in Powhatan to Dempsey and Alpha Hall Smith. She was united in marriage to Jerry Wells for 52 years.

She attended the United Freewill Baptist Church and worked in the factory at Skil. She also served as the president of the Clover Bend Cemetery Association. She was the best cook in Clover Bend and loved flowers and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Trenton Mack Alan Self.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry of the home; two daughters, Sonia Self of Walnut Ridge and Shawna (Ervin) Ray of Paragould; a son, Jeff Wells of Clover Bend; three granddaughters, Ashley Wells, Tamara Taft and Brittany Wells; two grandsons, Jason Martin and Christopher Taft; three great-grandsons, Haden Taft, Eli Jackson and Will Martin; two brothers, Bobby (Kay) Smith of Black Rock and Jimmy Dean Smith of Powhatan; one sister, Debra (JR) Hankins of Bryant; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Clover Bend Cemetery with Glenn Smith officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ervin Ray, Dennis Cole, Frankey Meeks, Larry Jones, Shane Foley and Gary Lawhon.

There is no visitation.
