Clara Elizabeth (Casper) the daughter of Jesse Joseph Casper and Sarah Mahala (Ketner) Casper. John Leonard Wells the son of Bishop Marvin Wells and Dollie Beary Wells.

John Leonard Wells, 93 of Powhatan died Wednesday April 18, 2018 at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge.

He was born November 16, 1924 in Powhatan, AR to Bishop Marvin Wells & Dollie Beary Wells. He was a retired cattle farmer. He served as caretake for Old Lebanon Cemetery in Eaton and was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Wells; brothers, A. B., J. C., Wesley, Esley, & Lesley Wells; and sisters, Nina Dean & Inez Morgan Sanders.

He is survived by sons, Larry Wells & wife Barbara and, Steve Wells & wife Melinda all of Eaton; daughters, Brenda Mans & husband Danny of Smithville, and Becky McGaha & husband Ricky of Batesville; 12 grandchildren, Carol Lawrence, Jo Beller, Bob Wells, Bill Wells, Jason Mans, Travis Mans, Tonya Rose, Tina Goff, Johnathan Blackburn, Justin Blackburn, Cody McGaha, & Jeremie McGaha; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; and many other relatives & friends.

Visitation will be Friday April 20, 2018 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Lynn.

Funeral services are Saturday April 21, 2018 at 2:00PM at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Lynn with Harold Russell Officiating.

Burial will be in Old Lebanon Cemetery in Eaton under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge & Lynn, AR.

Clara Wells, 84 of Eaton passed from this life Friday at St. Bernard's Medical Center. She was born February 18, 1928 in Eaton to Jesse Joseph and Sarah Mahala Ketner Casper and was a lifetime resident of the Eaton . She was a homemaker and retired from Lynn Public Schools. She was a member of the Pleasant Hills Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Roy, Albert, Trumann, Cecil, L.D., Thurman and Fred Casper; sisters, Ethel and Neva Beary, Cora Campbell, Louise Casper and Margie Harris.

She is survived by husband, John Leonard Wells; sons, Larry Wells (Barbara), Steve Wells (Melinda) all of the Eaton Community; daughters, Brenda Mans (Danny) of Smithville, Becky Wells (Ricki McGaha) of Southside Batesville; sister, Nadine Goodwin of Lynn; 10 grandchildren, Carol Lawrence, Jo Ann Beller, Jason Mans, Travis Mans, Jonathan Blackburn, Justin Blackburn, Tonya Rose, Tina Goff, Bill Wells and Bob Wells; 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Monday January 21, 2013 at 2:00 in Pleasant Hills Missionary Baptist Church in Lynn. Burial will follow in Old Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of House Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

Visitation will be Sunday 6 – 8 at the church at Pleasant Hills Missionary Baptist Church in Lynn.

Pallbearers, Bill Wells, Jonathan Blackburn, Justin Blackburn, Jason Mans, Travis Mans, Keaton Thacker.
