Fay E. Ray, 83, of El Dorado, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. She was born May 12, 1930, in El Dorado, to Lewis Lee and Eva Lee Martin.

W.T. and Fay owned and ran Champagnolle Grocery for 30 years. She was a life long member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She devoted her life to taking care of her family and everyone in her community. She was an avid hummingbird watcher. Fay also loved working in her flower beds and making everything she touched beautiful. Most importantly she was a wonder wife, mother, sister, friend, and mamaw.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lewis Martin, Claude Martin; four sisters, Jessie Murphy, Leona Middlebrooks, Thelma Hunt, Myrta Spipes, her husband, W. T. Ray, Jr.; and a son, Robert Ricky Ray.

Survivors include one sister, Irene German of Lake Charles, LA; two sons, Tommy Ray and his wife Debbie, and David Ray of El Dorado; two daughters, Mary Yarbrough, and Neene Ray also of El Dorado; five grandchildren, Kandy Yarbrough of El Dorado, Keitha Dews and her husband Danny of Mt. Holly, AR, Cody Ray of Mandeville, LA, Chase Ray of Dickinson, TX, and Jasmine Ray of El Dorado; six great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at Young's. There will be a private family memorial service.
