FAYETTEVILLE — Peggy Gayle Stephens Tate, age 63, of Fayetteville won the victory and went home to be with her Savior, Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, in Fayetteville. She was born Sept. 11, 1950, the daughter of Lacie and Jewell Stephens.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, where she served the Lord faithfully for many years. Her life's work was making a loving home for her family. She faced life with a constant smiling face and spread the love of Christ joyfully to everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Tate; one son, Stephen Tate and his wife, Mindy, of Mulberry, Ark.; two daughters, Catherine Smith and her husband, Jeff, of Van Buren, Ark., Rebecca Tate of Fayetteville, Ark.; her mother, Jewell Stephens of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Isaac and Autumn Tate of Mulberry, and two sisters, Christine Thurston of Bella Vista, Ark., and Geraldine Dennis of Winslow, Ark. She is also survived by many dear family and friends who were all impacted by Peggy's life.

Visitation was Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held today, Dec. 14, at 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Ark.

Interment will follow at Parks Cemetery in Winslow, Ark.

Pallbearers will be Jeffery Dennis, Matthew Dennis, Timothy Dennis, Danny Murphy, Bobby Murphy and John Cooksey.

The deacons of Calvary Baptist Church and her nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
