Mr. Alvin (Turner) Gentry of Shirley, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at the Central Arkansas Hospital in Searcy, Arkansas. Born in Shirley, Arkansas, on December 28, 1927, Mr. Gentry was 75 years of age. He was the fifth of ten children of the late Elmer and Mollie (Parker) Gentry. Mr. Gentry enjoyed working with cattle and was a retired farmer. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Gentry's religious belief was Protestant. He was preceded in death by his only child, Terry W. Gentry. He is survived by two grandsons; Jason W. Gentry and Gary L. Gentry daughter-in-law, Clara Gentry Davis Jason's wife, Amy M. Gentry, and their daughter, Haley M. Gentry, and other family and friends.
