David Gentry age 81 years was born near Edgemont, Arkansas and passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. He was born in Cleburne County, Arkansas on December 4, 1933. He was the son of Elmer and Mollie (Parker) Gentry. A lifetime resident of Cleburne County he worked as a farmer, timber worker and construction materials truck driver. He enjoyed gospel, blue grass music and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Sammye Gentry of the home, children: Kathy Dawson, Stacy Gentry, Teresa Benton and Randy House; grandchildren: Cindy (Isreal), Jennifer (Jerry), Ashley (Jay), Kimberly, Amber (Colton), Dakota, Brianna, Kriston, Jonathan, Connor, Tanner, Caleigh, Caitlyn, Samuel, Eli, Mason, Adric, Jaylyn, Paxton: sister Murlean Trammell and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
A visitation will be held at Clinton Funeral Service in Clinton, Arkansas on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 5 until 7 PM and funeral services will be at the Clinton Funeral Service Chapel on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 11:00 AM by Darvin Carlton with interment in Davis Special Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Gentry, Gary Gentry, Johnny Gentry, Gerald Trammell, Bobby Gentry and Mark Mathis.
