Springdale Man Found Dead Of Gunshot Wound
The body of 58-year-old Regan F. Reynolds of Route 2, Springdale, was found early Monday afternoon by his wife in the backyard of their home.
Death apparently was caused by a shot from a 20 gauge pump shotgun, according to County Coroner J. W. Vanzant.
The Springdale Fire Department, was notified at 1:51 p.m. by Reynolds' daughter-in-law.
An investigation of the incident is being handled by the Washington County sheriff's department.
Dr. Vanzant said an autopsy is pending awaiting a request by Sheriff Bill Long.
Reynolds was born Jan. 5, 1914, in Madison County, and was a poultry farmer and a Freewill Baptist. He had lived near Springdale since 1964, when he moved from Rogers.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rose Stevens Reynolds; two sons, Alvin L. of Springdale, and Hairl of High Springs, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Sharon Provenza of Baldwin Park, Calif., and six grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Sisco Funeral Home Chapel. Burial arrangements are incomplete.
