REYNOLDS, Mattie - Died at her home on White River, Washington county, Ark. Nov. 10th, 1879, Mrs. Mattie Reynolds. In losing Mattie we all feel we have lost a dear friend and good neighbor. She leaves a husband and two children to mourn her loss besides a host of other relatives. A large concourse of sympathizing friends followed her to her last resting place at Son's Chapel. Hardly have we ever witnessed so perfect resignation amid so much suffering. When her physician told her death was near she assured her friends she was willing to die and ready to recover as the Lord saw best. At length making all preparations for her death she shed no tears of regret. Her life has been short but there are those who feel it was sweet to be her friend. Dear mourning friends, do not mourn as those who have no hope, be assured she will come forth in that bright morning of the resurrection to lead you to the white robed throng who sing eternal praises to God and the Lamb. Be prepared then to meet her. F.M.H.
