Damon Sherril Hall, 74, of Rialto, Calif., passed away on Sept. 4, 2013. He was born April 7, 1939, in Enola, Ark. to Lawrence (L.A.) and Dessie Bailey Hall. He was a retired carpenter, a U.S. Army veteran, and a Baptist. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by one sister, Virginia Smith of Dittmer, Mo.; three brothers, Randall Hall (Joyce) of Mabelvale; Joe A. Hall (Amy) of Cabot; and Melvin Hall (Becky) of Bigelow.

After graduating from Mabelvale High School and serving in the Army, Damon worked as a commercial carpenter in Arkansas, Hawaii, Alaska and California. He also worked several years in construction on the Trans-Alaska pipeline. While living in Alaska, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and piloting his small airplane. After moving to Rialto, he pursued a variety of hobbies, including gardening, beekeeping, raising rabbits and pigeons, quilting, and making pottery. He was a retired member of Carpenters Local 944 of San Bernardino.

Damon never met a stranger, and the family is grateful to his many friends who visited him and cared for him during his final illness. A memorial service will be held in Arkansas at a later date. Arrangements by Arrowhead Aftercare.
