L. C. Turner Jr., 77 of Greenbrier, died Wednesday, November 8, 2006. He was born June 11, 1929 in Mena, to the late L. C. Turner Sr. and Ruth Lowery Turner. He was a Baptist Minister for forty-eight years, retired from the North Little Rock School District.
He led a full and productive life in spite of the physical effects of being Insulin dependent for sixty-eight years.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Frances Bearden Turner, daughter Kathie Bonds and husband Max of Greenbrier, son Jerry Turner and wife Delores of Rockwall, Texas, four grandchildren, Courtney Calloway and husband Ben, Kevin Bonds, Jereme Turner and Jason Turner and wife Melanie, and two sisters-in-law, Lynda McDaniel and husband Ron and Martha McDonald and husband Mike.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Springhill Baptist Church with burial in Springhill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or BMA Missions.
Pallbearers are Mike Tackett, Ed Brown, Jackie Collie, Jerry Massey, Hubert Grimes and Merle Parker. Honorary Pallbearers are, Kevin Bonds, Jereme Turner, Jason Turner and Ben Calloway.
