When Cecil Turner was born on August 6, 1917, in Arkansas, his father, Clyde, was 29 and his mother, Maudie, was 18. He married Mildred Woodard on April 5, 1941, in Faulkner, Arkansas. He died in April 1986 in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 68.
