FAYETTEVILLE — Charles "Shack" McClelland, 86, of Fayetteville died Friday, April 21, 2006, at Washington Regional Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 10, 1919, in Sulphur City, the son of Charles Garfield and Rose Mae Culver McClelland. He was a retired poultry farmer. He was a veteran of World War II. He loved to play guitar and sing gospel music. He was a faithful husband and a good father. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel, and a daughter, Deborah Lynn McClelland.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda McClelland; one son, Russell McClelland of Winslow; one brother, R.D. McClelland of Greenland; and one grandson, Joshua McClelland of Minot, N.D.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Greenland. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, online at mooresfuneralchapel.com.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Moore's Chapel. Dr. Daniel Clark will officiate.
