Gurda Lee Harrington, 87, of Greenbrier passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 at Greenbrier Nursing and Rehabilitation where she was a resident.

Born in England, Ark., on Oct. 9, 1923, she was a daughter to the late Joseph L. “Faddie” and Bertha (Reynolds) Harrington.

Gurda Lee loved her family and one of her greatest past times was going fishing with her nieces and nephews. She was a member of the House of Prayer Church. Gurda Lee retired from Greenbrier Hardware.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis, Welton and J.C. Harrington; four sisters, Pearl Reed, Dolly Harrington, Mildred Lyons and Ruby Martin.


Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved sister-in-law and devoted caregiver, Marie Harrington; her brother-in-law, Waylon Lyons; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family sends special thanks to the nurses and staff of Greenbrier Nursing and Rehabilitation for the excellent care given to Gurda Lee.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier with interment to follow at Republican Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers are Ricky Harrington, Gary Harrington, Bobby Lyons, Jimmy Lyons, Joe Martin and Tony Harrington.

Honorary pallbearers are, James Harrington, Nathan Harrington, Leroy Harrington, Tom Harrington, Toby Harrington and Charles Freeman.
