Beside Her Beloved.
Muskogee, June 14. — Mrs. Rhoda Hinds, mother of G. W. D. Hinds, editor of the South McAlester Capital, died at her home in this city, aged eighty-eight years. She was burled on the battlefield at Prairie Grove, Ark., by the side of her husband, who fell in battle there.

A Family Reunion
Yesterday evening there occurred a vary pleasant family reunion at the residence of Mrs. Jennie Brasel, 202 South Cherokee street. There were present Mrs. Rhoda Hinds, the mother, aged 86: Mrs. R.A. Medearis of Westville, I.T.; W.G.D. Hinds, of the Daily and Weekly Capital, South McAlester, I.T.; Prof. J.I.D. Hinds, Ph.D., of Lebanon, Tenn.; Mrs. Jennie Brasel; one of the earliest citizens of Muskogee; C.W. Hinds, a merchant of Pryor Creek, I.T.; Park Medearis, of Westville, I.T.; Colton Brasel, Royal Brasel, Burney Brasel, Miss Irene Brasel, Miss Basbie Brasel, of this city. Rev. M.W. Robinson, pastor of the Cumberland Presbyterian church, and his wife were guests. All of Mrs. Hind's children were present except the youngest daughter, Mrs. Julia Ryan, of Walla Walla, Washington. All are hale and hearty, the oldest being 61 years old and the youngest 50.
This family has a remarkable history in one respect. For 60 years there has not been a death in the mother's own family, except the death of the husband, Rev. John Hinds, which occurred in 1862. Three of her grand children and two great grand children have died. She has 27 living grand children, and two living great grand children.
This was a happy meeting. The fun and frolics of childhood were lived over again, and the dangers and trials of the, troublesome times from '61 to '65 were remembered. There have not been so many members of this family 'together since 1875.
