SPRINGDALE — Doris Jean Ferguson, 81, of Springdale, Ark., died Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, in Springdale. Born May 3, 1930, in Springdale, she was the daughter of Burtice Johnson and Mamie Wilson Johnson.

Doris was a homemaker and had lived most of her life in Springdale. She was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her husband Earl in 1996, and a son Richard.

Survivors include a daughter, Jean Ferguson of the home; two sons, Ralph Ferguson of Fayetteville, Ark.; Kenneth Ferguson of Huntsville, Ark.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Leroy Johnson of Johnson, Ark.; three sisters, Ina Mae Newberry of Springdale; Barbara Gilbert and Marie Morris, both of Springdale. Funeral services will he 2 p.m. today, Sept. 27 at Brush Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery.

Viewing hours were 1:00 to 6:00 Monday at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
