Jeremiah Patrick Dickens, born November 17, 1986 in Midland, Texas died April 4, 2006 in Conway, Arkansas. He is survived by his parents, Patrick and Susan Dickens, and three siblings, Joshua, Jessica, and Josiah, his grandfather, Arles Dickens, Aunt Aurelia Harvey and husband Wayne, all of Greenbrier, cousins Timothy Killough of Eureka Springs, Melissa Schrag and family of Greenbrier, and Greg Killough and family of New Mexico; maternal grandparents Herbert and Velma Thompson of Jacksonville, North Carolina, four uncles, Timothy, David, Terry, and Nathan Thompson and their families, all of North Carolina. A fifth uncle, Herbert Thompson, Jr., died in March 1998, leaving a wife and daughter. Jeremiah attended Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Conway. He was baptized as a child at the Northside Presbyterian Church (now known as Trinity Fellowship Church) in North Little Rock.
Jeremiah enjoyed playing the banjo, loved John Denver and James Taylor music, and the gospel/bluegrass music of the Wells Family, his cousins from North Carolina. He loved animals and had an assortment of pets, especially dogs, throughout his life. Jeremiah had a loving heart, and he is greatly missed and mourned by his family and a host of friends from his church, neighborhood, and as far away as Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Albania, Eastern Europe, where his family served as missionaries from 1992 to 1995.
Visitation will be at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home (501.327.7727) in Conway on Friday, April 14th from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be at the Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 14 Beaverfork Rd., in Conway on Saturday, 11:00 am, April the 15th, officiated by Pastor John Sherman Gilliom and Pastor Steve Irby with burial in Thorn Cemetery in Greenbrier.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First State Bank (Sam Spears 501.328.4670) of Conway.
