JoNell (Mannon) Adams, 89, of Greenbrier, passed away July 9, 2013 at Conway Regional Health Center. She was born January, 4, 1924 in Lobelville, TN .
She married Delbert Adams in 1940, who passed away in 1996. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Evelyn (Baker) Mannon, brothers Wiley, Paul and J.W. Mannon and sisters Susie Adams, Louise Haynes, and Dorothy Howard.
Her love for family and friends was expressed in many ways, but especially by cooking. If you left her home hungry, it was your own fault. She truly loved cooking for fellowship meals at Immanuel Baptist in Greenbrier and loved serving cookies and juice at vacation bible school. She also enjoyed collecting glassware. Many pieces were gifts from children she taught through the years in Sunday school. JoNell had a great love for quilting, passing along many of these quilts as gifts to friends, but especially to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren .
Left to cherish memories of her are her children Ralph (Carol) Adams, Mary (Bob) Stephenson, Sarah (Ed) Stephenson, Roland (Cindy) Adams of Greenbrier. Ardell (Bill) Stevens of Jacksonville, TX and Velda (Barry) Lueders of Conway. Twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and her beloved friend Helen Pruitt.
The family appreciates the staff of Three South at CRHC for the compassionate
and exceptional care they provided to the family and their Mother. The family
would also like to thank Doctors Kendrick, Ballentine, Tyler and Roberts for their
outstanding service.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 11 1:00 pm at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, with Brother Gaylon King and Brother Tony Crocker officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 pm.
The grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Life Word Ministries, Central Baptist College, The Baptist Trumpet or a charity of your choice.
