CANEHILL — Birch Hodge, 91, of Canehill died Jan. 1, 2002, at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 29, 1910, at Lily, Ky., to Hiram and Mary Elizabeth Early Hodge. He was a retired turner and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Smith Hodge of the home; four sons, Ray Hodge of Harmon, Harold Hodge of Garfield, Herman Hodge of Canehill and James Hodge of Lincoln; six daughters, Dorsie Bowen of Fayetteville, Annabelle Neale of Pateros, Wash., Lorene Cunningham of Lincoln, Shirley England of Lincoln, Catherine Spainhower of Southwest City, Mo., and Darlene Crofford of Rogers; one sister, Lora Bowlin of Rogers; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville with the Rev. Paul Payne officiating. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

CANE HILL — Florence E. Hodge, 95, of Cane Hill died Sept. 16, 2008, at her home. She was born March 8, 1913, in Thompson to Lee and Clarcie Davenport Smith.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Birch Hodge, and two daughters, Rosalie Carpenter and Lorene Cunningham.
Survivors include four sons, Ray Hodge of Tontitown, Harold Hodge of Garfield, Herman Hodge of the home and James Hodge of Lincoln; five daughters, Dorsie Bowen of Tontitown, Annabell Neale of Patros, Wash., Shirley England of Lincoln, Kathy Spainhower of Southwest City, Mo., Darlene Crofford of Rogers; two sisters, Ola Shelley of Fayetteville and Grace Glenn of Elm Springs; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, online at www.mooresfuneralchapel.com. The Rev. Paul Payne will officiate.
Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
