Dolph Stephens, 53 of Stephens, died early Monday morning in a hospital at Little Rock. He was born at Arkadelphia, son of the late Andrew L. and Rosemond Thomasson Stephens. Mrs. Stephens was a Certified Public Accountant and Maintained offices in Camden and Stephens. He was a vice-president of Security Savings and Loan Company, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Stephens. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mable Curry Stephens; one son, Don C. Stephens of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Edwards of Little Rock and Mrs. Catherine Whipple of Malvern; one brother, A. B. Stephens of Little Rock. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. First United Methodist Church of Stephens, with burial in the Stephens Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The body will remain at the funeral home until 1 p.m. Pallbearers will include lee Stephens, Ross Whipple, Duncan Grayson, William Dix, Sam L. Curry, Allen Curry, J. A. (Dooley) Womack, William P. Cook, Members of the board at Security Savings and Loan will be honorary pallbearers. (Camden News - December 14, 1970)
