Monday, April 5, 1948
Springdale, April 5-(Special)- Melvin C. Hellyer, 38, died Saturday. He had been in ill health for several months. Born at Beacon's Field, Iowa, he had lived in Springdale the past seven years.
Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Commander Hellyer of Springdale; his wife, Mrs. Helen Hellyer; three daughters, Mrs. Glenn Nail of Los Angeles, Esther and Maxine of the home; a son, Cecil of the home; three brothers, Clarence of Bakersfield, Calif., Clinton of Fredericktown, Mo., and Leonard of Wheeler; a half brother, Harry Hellyer of Lansing, Mich.; and a half sister, Mrs. Lillie Stoe of Minnesota.
Funeral services were to be held today at 1:30 at the chapel of the Callison-Russull Funeral Home by the Rev. Cooley Pate, pastor of the Nazarene Church. Burial was to be in the White Oak cemetery.
