GENTRY — Everett Samuels, 94, of Gentry died Jan. 31, 2004, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 12, 1909, in Red Star to Dave Samuels and Talitha Ward Samuels. He married the late Ova Friend in August 1951 in Yakima, Wash. He retired from Petersen Ind. as a carpenter. He was a member of the Church of God of Holiness, a lifetime member of the VFW and an Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed planting and gardening.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Wood of Gentry, and one sister, Mabel Sanders of Prairie Grove.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of God of Holiness in Gentry with the Rev. Dennis Weeks officiating. Burial will be at the Falling Springs Cemetery near Decatur under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
