Lester B. Amos, 78, Rt. 1, Colcorde, Okla., died April 1 in Washington Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Born Jan. 22, 1900, in Elm Springs, he was the son of Ira and Pearl Morris Amos. He was a retired farmer and former Decatur resident.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Amos of the home; one son, Dean Amos of Decatur; two brothers, Harry Amos of Sedalia, Mo., and Earl Amos of Decatur; one sister, Mrs. Mary Bandfield of Santa Rosa, Calif.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be a 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with the Rev. Kenneth Payne officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery under direction of Wasson.
