*Obituary
Elizabeth K. West, 86 of Bigelow, AR, passed peacefully on September 12, 2022. Born December 6, 1935, to parents John Henry Howell and Gladys Howell of England, AR. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Joe C. West of Conway, who adoringly called her "Beth", and her daughter, Brenda Orr, of Houston, AR.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Vaughan (Mike) of Bigelow, AR, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Beth was a devoted Christian and of Baptist faith. Adventurous and fun loving, she frequently traveled with family on Caribbean cruises. On days at home, she enjoyed watching TV, especially the Golden Girls and Columbo. Always quick with conversation, she enjoyed sharing humorous stories that filled the room with laughter and smiles. Known for her generous nature and unconditional love, she showered her children and grandchildren with the best birthday and Christmas gifts, never failing to surprise and delight. "The more the merrier" was her favorite quote when surrounded by family, ending every conversation with a hug and "I love you".
Beth lived a servant life dedicating more than 40 years to those with physical and mental disabilities. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will never be forgotten. 86 years seemed too short, but we are comforted knowing she is now reunited with so many family and friends and is rejoicing in heaven.
Visitation will be 1pm Friday, September 16, 2022, with funeral service following at 2pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Bro. Toby Vaughan will be officiating. Burial will follow at Crestawn Memorial Park.
