Mr. Jerry O. Johnson age 60, beloved husband and father, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2006, at his home in Caldwell, after fighting a long and courageous battle against cancer. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Johnson was born November 21, 1945, in Forrest City, the son of Mr. & Mrs. M.E. Johnson and was raised in Widener. Mr. Johnson was a honorably discharged Vietnam-era United States Air Force Veteran. Jerry was a dedicated 21 year employee of Sanyo Manufacturing Corporation and in addition was the owner of The Donut Shop and DJ's BBQ, all of Forrest City. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.J erry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Dottie Johnson, one son, Clay Jennings of Collierville, Tennessee; two daughters, Laura Jennings and Erin May both of Caldwell; three brothers, Murry Johnson of Haynes, Sammy Johnson of Forrest City and Jimmy Johnson of Whitehouse, Texas; one sister, Peggy Harris of Colt, and four grandchildren, Devan Jennings of Brunswick, Tennessee, Aubrey Jennings of Collierville and Lawson and Eden May of Caldwell. Visitation will be Monday, June 26 in the chapel of Stevens Funeral Home from 5 to 7, with a Rosary following at 7:00. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with burial to follow at Forrest Park Cemetery.
