Hersey Loyal Altom, 90, of Bald Knob, died Thursday July 5, 2012. He was born April 30, 1922 in Floral, Arkansas to the late Elmer and Pearlie Grimes Altom.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Bald Knob for 50 years and a member of New Bethel General Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Altom; sons, Loyal Altom, Larry (Debbie) Altom, Todd (Lanita) Altom all of Bald Knob and Terry (Oyku) Altom of Manassas, Virginia; daughters, Janett (Roger) Wood of Beebe and Michelle Hart of Searcy; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Conway Altom of Searcy and sister Lois Rudesill of Modesto, California.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gladys Altom, Aileen Elmore, Alma Jean Baker and brother, Alvin Altom.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. Services will be conducted Sunday, 3:00 p.m., Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be private. Arrangements by Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia.
