Mrs. Louise Ferguson Moore age 99, of Forrest City died Monday, August 25, 2008 at the Forrest City Medical Center. Mrs. Ferguson was born December 6, 1908 in Forrest City. She was the daughter of E. T. "Jack" Ferguson Sr. and Eva Marie Bernard Ferguson. Mrs. Ferguson was the oldest living member of the First Baptist Church in Forrest City. She had operated the Forrest City Civic Center and worked at Ferguson's Drug Store. Mrs. Moore married W. P. Moore in 1925 and he preceded her in death in 1970. She is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Moore Hill (Mrs. Charles W. Hill) of Widener; five grandchildren, Walter Hill, Woodson Hill, David Hill, Kathi Martin and Bill Spencer; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and nine nieces and nephews also survive her. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Steward in 2002 and five brothers, E. T. "Jack" Ferguson Jr., Charles Ferguson, Ed Ferguson, Eugene Ferguson and Leon Ferguson. Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday August 27, 2008, at the funeral home. The family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church.
